My Excellent Weekend Pt. III

Auto Finishers of Rochester NY hosted a very nice auto show this past Saturday. The cars were gorgeous and the Auto Finishers staff were most kind and helpful including owners Richard and his wife Patty who also had a beautiful car there on display as well. vehicles ranged from classics like the Corvette Sting Ray to some really exotic modified CHEVY and FORD SUV's some of which sported well over 500 watts of cranking sound power. The weather was perfect for the event and all the car owners were happy to have the crowd take peeks inside and under the hoods of their cars.
These were some of the hottest rods in the Rochester area I hope the pictures truly do these rides justice.
Some rides that really caught my eye were the lime green Oldsmobile 442, the burnt orange Suburban with the shamrock on the back ..this was a pretty ride.

This was a great weekend here in Rochester,NY. Thursday night led me to a Gavin DeGraw concert at Nola’s a local barbque joint/nightclub. Excellent food was had by yours truly. Garlic-cajun peel and eat shrimp followed by Memphis rubbed ribs, pulled pork, halfh chicken barbqued to perfection with sides of bourbon baked beans, cheesy mashed potatoes and corn bread.
Matt Werx opened for Gavin DeGraw and had an awesome show in his own right. As you will see in the video.
The crowd was in great form and the show was excellent. it went on until about 11pm and then Gavin even did a meet and greet for the fans who were kind enough to buy a t-shirt , hat or cd from the concession stand. If you’ve never tried Nola’s for food and music it quite a place to be if you like good bar-b-que, good music, stiff drinks and great service.
But thats just the beginning of the weekend. The HSBC banking fiasco had far reaching effects all across the country even here in Rochester, NY. I unfortunately along with many others at the work place were victims of the computer glitch. Sitting home and feeling pretty rotten about not being able to access my hard earned paycheck I resigned myself to a pretty boring weekend.

Tumbling all the way to the bank

This lady shows that you can sell just about any thing on the internet. Her name is Linda Katz and she is the internet tumbleweed queen. That's right I said the tumbleweed queen. Linda who lives on the Kansas prairie came up with the idea to sell genuine Kansas tumbleweeds on the web.
She sell them for $15, $20, and $25 apiece depending on their size and it seems that she sells at least 10- 15 per week. She has had customers from Hollywood movie sets buy her tumbleweeds, people in Dubai, even NASA has bought them from her and refuse to buy from anyone else.
Most people buy them to recreate that western ambiance in their homes or for western themed parties. She has even sold tumbleweeds to Barney the big purple dinosaur for his show.
Hats off to Linda Katz who shows us that with a little effort you can sell ANYTHING on the internet!

Lesson 1 - What exactly is money?

There is no idea that seems to be as misunderstood as the idea of "Money."On one hand we find many people engaged in a mad chase after money for money's sake. Then there are others who will tell you that money is the root of all evil, and severely criticize you for actively seeking it.
I am here to tell you that both groups are wrong. They are standing on opposite sides of the road and the truth found here as with many things lies in the middle of the road. The person who seeks money as a thing of value, worships it as a god is a fool, because he or she is mistaking a symbol for reality. likewise the person who decries the pursuit and desire for money as something foul or evil this person would make money a devil and is also foolish. the wise view is taken by one who sees money as a symbol of something else behind, and who is not deluded by mistaking the shadow for the substance either for evil or for good. wise thought makes money neither a god nor a devil, but sees it as a symbol of almost everything that he or she may obtain from the outside world and respects it as such. While avarice and greed are detestable and hurtful qualities of the mind, lack of proper desire for, and striving after money makes a person a creature devoid of all that makes life worth living.
When a sane person desires money he or she really desires the many things that money will purchase. Money is a symbol for nearly everything that is necessary for human well being and happiness. With it man can open the door to all sort of opportunities, and without it he can accomplish practically nothing. Money is the tool with which man can carve many beautiful things, and without the aid of which he is helpless. Here is an important point coming and i want everyone to get this. Money is but the concentrated essence of things desired, created, and established by society in it's present stage of development.
There have been times in which there was no money- there may be times coming in which the human race will have passed beyond the need of money as a symbol of exchange and posession but be this as it may the fact remains that now right here in the beginning of the 21st century there is nothing that is so necessary for man's well being and contentment as this much abused thing called money.
Remember this first , last and always that when i say man needs money, I mean that he needs the many things that money will purchase for him. And for anyone to decry the the desire for money is for him to deny the the desire for nearly all the good and desirable things in life. Here is a simple but powerfully true statement: Unless a person acquires money, then he shall not eat; nor be clothed; nor have shelter; nor books; nor music; nor anything else that makes life worth living for a thinking and feeling being. People who belittle the desire for money are generally those who have found themselves lacking in the qualities that tend to attract money; or else those who are in the possession of money that has been inherited or otherwise acquired without the labor, excitement or satisfaction of having been made by themselves.
with the first group it is a matter of "sour grapes"; with the second it is a case of financial indigestion which has left the person devoid of a normal appetite.
Money is still necessary in order that man may have the necessities of life, as well as a few luxeries. We cannot live on beautiful theories, but must have bread and butter, and potatoes, and sometimes a piece of cake or pie- and it takes money to get them. Money means freedom, independence, liberty, and the ability to do great good, as well as great evil. It means the opportunity to carry out great plans and fulfill great ideals. It means the filling in of those mental pictures that we have sketched out in our minds. It means the chance of materializing those airy "castles in Spain" that we have dwelt upon in moments of hopeful ecstasy. Yes , money is the wizard, able and willing to work wonders. It is indeed the genie who can and will do it's masters bidding.
I hold that in the present stage of evolution of man, money is to mankind what air, water , and sunshine and earth are to the plant- it is nourishment. and as in the plant, the desire for nourishment is a natural and worthy instinct, so is the desire for this financial nourishment in man a perfectly natural and worthy instinct- it is the working of the same natural law.

All Around Success....What most of us want

What most of us want is all around success, but no one can be an all around success with out financial independence. No matter how much good a person may want to do, he is handicapped by a lack of money. All the air castles that he has built, all the beautiful plans that he has created; all the cherished desires to do good- all go unfulfilled because there is no money with which to complete them. Before these air castles can become real building, before these plans can become realities, before these great desires can be fulfilled , before any of these great things can be manifested into living realities- the LAW must be seen, understood, and put into conscious operation and the purpose of this blog and the e-course that i am offering is to tell you HOW TO DO IT!
I have always seen a need for there to be something to fill this want for knowledge. From studying the lives of financially successful people it seems that financial success is not a matter of grind, and rush, and fight, and struggle. It seems to be more of a matter of getting into harmony with the LAW, and then following that LAW to it's logical conclusion. I will try my best to share the LAW here in this blog and the e-course, how to get in harmony with it- and what to do to keep in closest touch with it.
This information is by no means meant to be a magic potion as some would have you believe. It is just a plain statement of the LAW so that all who come here may read, and then act. He who acts will win success because he is following the LAW that has been laid down from time immemorial. whether you are rich or poor, successful or unsuccessful matters not this information will be of great value to you. if you are a natural money maker you have been using this LAW unconsciously, and this information will help you to use it consciously.
If you are unsuccessful and money seems not to be attracted to you this information will guide your thought and actions into the proper channels where you will be able to manifest the LAW and get the highest possible results.
so now that i have laid the foundations of what lies ahead, get your self a cup of your favorite beverage and pull your chair up to the table to partake of the nourishment that I will try to provide in the following posts. As they say the proof of the pudding is in the eating, so take a taste of this which has been gathered for your mental, physical, and financial well being.
